Coming from a family with a long tradition and experience into viti-viniculture in La Rioja, I decided to follow their steps. I studied a BTSA in Blanquefort (Bordeaux). During my studies, I had the opportunity of working in some of the best wineries worldwide. In Bordeaux region: Château Margaux, Château Pichon Longueville Baron, in Médoc; USA, Robert Mondavi in Oakville, Napa Valley; Cascabel Winery in McLaren Valley, South Australia. |
During 2003 and 2004, I finished my studies by enrolling in the DUAD course (Diplôme Universitaire d'Aptitude à la Dégustation des Vins from the University of Bordeaux). I worked in Château Recougne (Pomerol); Castello di Poppiano in Tuscany (Italy), and in Mudhouse Winery, Malborough, New Zealand. And recently, Curicó, Chile, and Pulenta Estate, Mendoza, Argentina. |

All these experiences have given me the “kick” to make my most ambitious dream a reality: to create the foundations of my own winery and introduce Barbarot to you.
